MOB ON THURSDAY 24th February 2011 – PIER BUCCI

After a great success launch party with Karotte, MOB is back at the same place, Crusifix Lane (Jacks) on Thursday 24 of February. For the second installment of “MOB on Thurday”, we are very happy and proud to present another super talented artist coming from the home land of Ricardo Villalobos and Luciano, ladies and gentlemen: it’s Pier Bucci.
Pier Bucci is on a quest to create his own vision of complex atmospheric rhythms. Much has been written about the recent emergence of Chile as an unexpected source of cutting edge electronica. Pier, alongside fellow countrymen and women are producing some of the finest and most original electronic music at the moment. His debut album on Crosstown Rebels ‘Familia’ was one of the highlights of 2005. Pier has also released a blissful downtempo album ‘Introducing Light and Sound’ with Luciano as Monne Automne. His sound is a personal blend of lush, colorful melodies, wrapped inside elegant techno, all tied together with a Latin twist. Like his friends Luciano and Ricardo Villalobos, Pier Bucci has combined electronica with the organic sounds of South American music.Pier’s own take on techno uses classic latin rhythms and vocals, with his love of abstract electronics, and Sheffield bleeps, combining this with his haunting Andean melodies, whilst colorful characters zip through his music, makes a lively collage of influences, underpinned by solid dancefloor beats.
